Central Basketball Association of the Deaf

ARTICLE VII
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Section 1. The management of the affairs of this Association shall be delegated to a Board of Directors,
composed of:
A. The four (4) officers of this Association.
B. One delegate from each team club of this Association.
C. The current General Chairperson of the local tournament committee.
D. The Law Committee of this Association.
E. The Past Officers of this Association as Delegate-at-Large.
F. Each such member of the Board of Directors of this Association shall have only (1) vote.
Section 2. Each active member team of this Association shall elect a delegate to attend all the Board of
Directors' meetings of this Association. Such delegate shall be on call to respond for all
meetings of this Association for a term of one year or until a successor has been elected or
appointed to take his/her place.
Section 3. The delegate from each active member team of this Association shall be a non-player, if possible.
Section 4. Delegate’s credential must sign by team Coach and/or Manager.
Section 5. Each Past Secretary-Treasurer who has served at least four (4) years shall be given the title of
"Delegate-at-Large" as a Past Secretary-Treasurer in order to attend the CBAD meetings.
Section 6. Each of Past Officer except Past President/Commissioner and Past Secretary-Treasurer, serving
at least six (6) years shall be given the title of "Delegate-at-Large" as an officer in order to
attend the CBAD meetings.
Section 7. Each Past President/Commissioner shall be given the title of "Delegate-at-Large" as an officer
in order to attend the CBAD meetings.
Section 8. To add or remove an individual as a “Delegate-at-Large” during all meetings must be voted
unanimously by all of the members of the Board of Directors of this Association.
Section 9. In the event the officers of this Association are unable to attend the Annual meeting of the
Board of Directors of the USADB, any one of the Past Presidents/Commissioners of this
Association shall be chosen by a single majority of the members of the Board of Directors of
this Association.
